Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Woodalix Craft ("Woodalix Craft", "the Studio", "we", "us", or "our"), an online woodworking design and planning studio based in Centennial, Colorado. They govern your use of woodalixcraft.com (the "Website") and our services. By using the Website, requesting a quote, or purchasing a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Services — our design and planning work: custom project design, furniture and cabinet plans, storage layouts, DIY guides, and material consultation.
- Deliverables — the digital documents we produce, such as concept directions, dimensioned drawings, layouts, cut lists, guides, and written recommendations.
- Client ("you") — the individual or business requesting or purchasing Services.
2. About our services
We provide digital deliverables only, translating your ideas, measurements, and reference photos into clear, dimensioned plans and guidance. We do not manufacture, build, fabricate, assemble, ship, deliver, or install any physical product, and we do not perform on-site work or general contracting. Responsibility for building, sourcing, and installation rests with you and the professionals you choose.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use the Services for a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
4. Communication
We work remotely and communicate primarily by email (support@woodalixcraft.com) and through messages submitted on the Website. You are responsible for providing a valid email address and checking it for project updates. Estimated response and turnaround times are good-faith estimates, not guarantees.
5. Project intake and your information
When you request a Service, you agree to provide complete, accurate information, including measurements, photos, site details, and goals. Deliverables are only as accurate as the information we receive. You are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, dimensions, clearances, and existing site conditions before any purchase or build proceeds.
6. Quotes, scope, and acceptance
Before work begins, we describe the agreed scope, deliverables, fee, and estimated timeline. A project is confirmed once you accept the scope and the required deposit or payment is received. Work is limited to the agreed scope; anything outside it is treated as additional work and may be quoted separately.
7. Fees and payment
Fees, deposits, and payment schedules are communicated before work begins and are due as agreed. Payments are processed securely by our payment processor (such as Shopify Payments / Shop Pay); we do not store full card details. Work starts once the agreed deposit or payment is received. Agreed pricing for a confirmed project will not change for that project, though our general prices may change over time.
8. Timelines
Timelines are estimates that depend on project complexity and how quickly you provide information, feedback, and approvals. Delays in your responses extend the timeline accordingly.
9. Revisions and additional work
Unless stated otherwise, each Service includes one revision round to refine the Deliverables within the agreed scope. Changes to direction, scope, or quantity — or further revisions beyond what is included — may be quoted and billed separately.
10. Deliverables, formats, and intellectual property
Deliverables are provided in common digital formats. All methods, processes, templates, and work product created by Woodalix Craft remain our intellectual property. Upon full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Deliverables for your own personal or business project, including sharing them with a maker or contractor for that project. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the Deliverables as stand-alone plans or templates without our written permission.
11. Portfolio and confidentiality
We may reference non-confidential aspects of completed projects as portfolio or marketing examples. We will not publish information you ask us to keep confidential in writing. Tell us if you prefer your project not be referenced at all.
12. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. No engineering, structural, or code guarantee
Deliverables are design and planning documents only. They are not engineering calculations, architectural drawings, or certifications of code compliance. For structural, load-bearing, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, permitting, or code matters, you must obtain advice from a qualified, licensed professional. See our Disclaimer for full details.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Website, including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with its operation or security, scraping content at scale, introducing malicious code, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
15. Third-party links and tools
The Website and our communications may reference third-party websites, products, or suppliers for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, and a reference is not an endorsement.
16. Disclaimers
The Website and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Woodalix Craft and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from how Deliverables are built, interpreted, sourced, or used. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a Service will not exceed the amount you paid for that Service.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Woodalix Craft from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Website or Deliverables, your breach of these Terms, or any build, purchase, or installation carried out based on our Deliverables.
19. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages, technical failures, illness, or other circumstances that could not reasonably be foreseen or prevented.
20. Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at support@woodalixcraft.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, the dispute will be handled as described below.
21. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
22. Changes to the services and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue parts of the Services and may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms take effect when posted on this page, with a revised "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Website or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
23. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer, make up the entire agreement between you and Woodalix Craft regarding the Website and Services.
